| Title | A feature vector approach for retrieval of 3D objects in the context of MPEG-7 |
| Abstract | The topic of this communication is content-based retrieval of 3D objects represented as triangle meshes in the framework of MPEG-7. The idea consists of the use of suitable descriptors, which capture 3D shape. The descriptors are invariant with respect to translation, rotation,scaling, and reflections and robust with respect to level-of-detail. The presented analysis of 3D mesh models possesses advantages in comparison to other approaches. |
